So I've been away from society for the last 24 hours.... I JUST read that Chief Justice Rehnquist died yesterday. This means that Dubya gets to put TWO Supreme Court Justices on the bench?!?Fuck.

I meant to say thank goodness Dubya gets to put two guys on the Court. Maybe that'll fill it up with people who interpret laws using the Constitution. Whacky, I know, but it would be nice to know that Wal-Mart or whoever won't be able to take my home from me to build parking lots.
Fair enough. Also, my ultra-liberal office buddy has been singing the praises of Roberts today, so I'm feeling a bit less squeamish about it. You do make a good point though. :)
I thought about moving to Canada when the S.C. decided that one. I live in Maryland and they luuv developers here. I can totally see something like that happening to me whenever I have the money for my own home.
